Before we go any further, though, let’s get one thing straight: this is a personal site and the thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own (unless I’ve stolen them from other people). This site is in no way connected with my employment, past or present, and absolutely nothing I’ve written should be taken as expressing or implying anything on my employer’s behalf. As if it would.
This is version 10 of PaSKaLBLOG featuring a somewhat new look (not much though). A look that not so frequently updated [update: it did, some]. Version 1, was launched in March 2003, based at Machang, Kelantan.
Biography
My father put Ahmad Tarmizi as my name, for some reason. It’s in Arabic, which means “Honor” (for Ahmad), and “Tarmizi” is an Ahli-Hadith (Hadith collector). I start using PaSKaL as my nickname since March 2003. What’s PaSKaL stand for? Check WiKi or this out!
I was born on 6th of October 1983 in small village called Padang Baloh, located in Besut, Terengganu where I spent the first one thirds of my life. The second one thirds is wasted around Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor and Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The most recent third has occurred mostly in Machang, Kelantan and Putrajaya. I came to Cheras on a whim which slowly and happily mutated into an blogging-freak, and it is this that keeps me here now. I likes it this way (no kidding).
I lives in a small room located somewhere in Taman Connaught, Cheras with my sweet lil’ sister (of course in different room OK!), and works for CIA (like u will believe) as Senior Intelligence Admin. Naaah, that’s too good to be true. Well, at this moment, I’m still unemployed.
I has been a killer (kidding, again), a LKW UCT student, the pizza-delivery rider, a victim of the not-so-fair-life, and few things that I can’t remember.

My blog is coded using strict XHTML 1.0 because web standards are important and, besides, it was kind of fun in a masochistic way (naaaah, I dont think so).
CSS
The site uses Cascading Style Sheets for all layout and formatting, so it could look weird (but should still be readable) on outmoded browsers.
If you’re having browser doubts, help is at hand. Please upgrade your browser if you can because style sheets are going to be everywhere soon, they just make such good sense.
Browser
This blog is tested OK with Internet Explorer 6, with minor flaw. Why in the world IE6 didn’t support PNG format? It’s sucks you know, Bill Gates. Thank God IE7 is PNG-supported, but I didn’t test on IE7 yet. Firefox 2 render this blog to the best, awesome looking. There’s absolutely no doubt about that. Opera 9 is same level with Firefox. I can’t test on Safari because I didn’t have any Mac OS, and none of my friend have Mac OS. Sad isn’t it. Also, Flock user won’t have any problem browsing this blog. But if you found any bugs, please tell me A.S.A.P.

This blog is hosted by Encik Azmie Yang Hensem. Thanx alot bro! I still can’t afford my own hosting due to some problem, mainly choosing the best domain name. I’d like to have paskal.net.my but I didn’t have Company Registration Letter, which is required to register the .my Top Level Domain (TLD). Someone please help me on this!
Software
Rest assured that only the very finest applications have been used to prepare these pages. The templates are hand-coded with my favorite text editor, Notepad++ from Don Ho and the pages are rendered through powerful Wordpress from Matt & The Gang. Adobe Photoshop CS2 is used to prepare all of the graphics and photographs. Any audio on the site, and there is some recently, has been recorded and edited with Cool Edit Pro 2.1.
Photography
Digital photographs were taken with a Sony Cybershot S40 and my precious Nokia 3230. Raw files are accessed via USB cable then sent in 16-bit mode to Photoshop CS2 for nip and tuck.

Linking to any page of the site is encouraged (this is the web after all). Bandwidth hijacking, however, is a no-no and anyone pulling files off my server for use on another site without permission is considered to be doing A Bad Thing. Use common sense, folks, and be considerate. Bandwidth costs money that very hard to earn, you know.

You own your words, as the saying goes, which I take to mean copyright and responsibility. This means that comments belong to their authors, and PaSKaLBLOG takes no responsibility for anything nasty anyone says.
Occasionally duplicate comments get posted, tags go unclosed, long URLs snake their way into adjacent columns, &c. For the sake of good housekeeping, I may tidy things up, however I’ll never edit the actual content of your comment.
Privacy Policy
The e-mail address you provide when writing comments is never displayed on the site. Your name will be linked to any URL that you enter.
Your e-mail address will never be sold, rented, given or otherwise made available to other sites, mailing lists, or third parties. There’s a special place in hell waiting for people who send unsolicited commercial e-mail, and the sooner they disappear from the face of the earth the better (Amen!).
When you post a comment your IP number is logged. This never appears on the site and will never be made available to third parties.
If someone lockpick my apartment’s door, breaks into my room, video-looping my CCTV (as in MI3), defusing my Claymore Mines, deactivates the laser security system whose beams criss-cross my smoke-filled room and steals my computer, I may be unable to keep any of the promises I’ve just made. Security measures are in place, however, and I’m not unduly worried about this happening.
Advertising
PaSKaLBLOG doesn’t accept advertising. If a comment gets posted that looks like advertising it will probably be trashed. If you post more than one comment that looks like advertising, your IP number will be banned from the site, no questions asked, no correspondence entered into.
